Our mission is to enrich and enhance the Fredericksburg community through yoga classes, community service, and authentic relationships.
Our vision has always been to make Dragonfly Yoga Studio an important, valued part of the Fredericksburg community, to show how important and valuable that community is to us. Dragonfly Yoga Studio was founded in 2013 and to this day, continues to be a locally-owned yoga studio dedicated to serving both our students and the community around it. To that end, Dragonfly's vision centers around three main concepts:
The Best Teachers
We hire the best teachers we can find. All of our teachers are RYT-certified, but beyond that, we search for teachers who share our vision of a community-centered yoga practice. Our investment doesn’t stop when we hire a new teacher, though: to demonstrate our commitment to them, we pay our teachers the highest rates in the area. Further, we spotlight the special skills of our own teachers and bring in guest teachers from outside the studio for workshops designed to cover a wide variety of topics beneficial to deepening your yoga practice and enhancing your life on and off the mat. Dragonfly is located at the "Shops at 810" on Caroline Street in Downtown Fredericksburg
Located in the very heart of Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, our studio is part of a wonderfully vibrant and quirky building known as “The Shops at 810 Caroline Street.” Inside you’ll find us alongside a landmark bookstore, a wine store and an art gallery—tucked into a quiet corner in the back. After class, you’ll find yourself back on Caroline Street and within an easy stroll to one of the many coffee shops, brew-pubs, retail stores, art galleries and restaurants that make Downtown Fredericksburg such a popular destination. Inside Dragonfly you’ll find two separate studio spaces—a main studio and a separate hot studio space. Our hot studio is Fredericksburg’s first professionally-installed hot yoga room utilizing state-of-the-art radiant heating panels. These two loft-inspired studio spaces are separated by a beautifully-designed lobby / reception area with storage cubbies, a changing room, restroom and a retail sales area. All our studio classes end with savasana and all hot classes end with aroma-scented & chilled towels. After class enjoy complimentary fresh fruit, water and time among our very friendly community. A committed individual yoga practice yields amazing health benefits. However, our goal has always been to enhance the health of our community writ large, not only among our clientele. Through our Community Donation Program and our Veteran Sponsorship Program, Dragonfly raises awareness, funds local non-profits, and supports specific groups in the community as a reflection of our mission to enrich and enhance Fredericksburg through yoga classes, community service, and authentic relationships. In short, practicing at Dragonfly means that you are supporting a broad range of causes and organizations in the Fredericksburg area.
